Empowering Our Local Communities
At North United Communities, we have always believed in a community-led approach that nurtures local leadership and fosters sustainable growth and development across North Glasgow. Our vision is to create a future where everyone has the opportunity, skills and support to thrive within their own community, and beyond.

Our Key Initiatives
Supporting social cohesion and fostering development and growth through dedicated long-term community projects and planning with local people to make meaningful and lasting change.
The new Youth and Family Community Centre in Milton
The new Milton Youth and Family Community Centre is a community-led hub that will provide a safe, welcoming space for children, young people, families and local residents. It will bring together youth work, family support, community activities and partnership services under one roof, creating greater opportunities for people to connect, access support and help shape services within their community.
Our new Youth and Family Community Centre in Milton
The Milton Youth and Family Community Centre is the result of a ten-year journey shaped by the vision, commitment and determination of local people working in partnership with North United Communities. Developed in response to community needs and aspirations, the centre forms a key part of the wider regeneration of Milton, alongside the new Scaraway Nursery. The local residents also have ambitious plans for additional local facilities, including a supermarket and other community amenities. This is more than just a building, this centre represents a shared investment in, and regeneration of, the future of Milton, creating a welcoming space where children, young people, families and residents can connect, access support and help shape a thriving community for years to come.

We are getting the keys to open our new Milton Youth and Family Community Centre in October 2026, which will significantly enable us to expand the support and opportunities available to local children and young people.Â

Our new centre will enable us to provide a high-quality community space where children and young people can access a wider range of support, activities and opportunities. We will be better able to respond more effectively in this dedicated youth and family community centre, as more children and young people will be provided with the safe, welcoming environment they deserve. By reaching children and young people at an earlier stage, we can strengthen relationships, provide vital learning opportunities and support them to build confidence and coping strategies. Families and local people will be able to access services and opportunities for support, improved health, connection and growth.
